Old-Fashioned 4th of July at Sauder Village

What better place to celebrate Independence Day than at Ohio’s largest living-history village! You’ll have a blast in the past as you help make hand-cranked ice cream, play croquet, participate in a hoop-rolling contest and listen to patriotic songs being played on a reed organ in the Village Church. On July 4, celebrate with our new citizens as they take the last step in the process in becoming a United States citizen. The U.S. District Court Naturalization ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. and takes place on our beautiful Village Green. Tom Melville will be here on Saturday, July 4 to demonstrate and engage you in a game of cricket! Veterans and Active Military receive free admission in honor of their service to our country.
