Twenty five years ago Disney released the animated classic Beauty and the Beast, based on a French fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. That film quickly became one of Disney’s most attended movies . In 2017 Disney presented a live action version of Beauty and the Beast in. The film grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing live-action musical film, and making it the highest-grossing film of 2017 and the 10th-highest-grossing film of all time!
Beauty and the Beast” creates an air of enchantment from its first moments, one that lingers and builds and takes on qualities of warmth and generosity as it goes along. It’s a beautiful movie, both in look and spirit, one of the joys of 2017.
Of course this month’s theme is the inspiration for Chef Krissy’s amazing French menu, which will include: Flaky Cream Scones with Butter and Jam, Tantalizing Beef Ragout over Pasta, Delicate French Quiche, Savory Sausage encased in Flaky Pastry, Silky Pesto Tea Sandwiches, Cucumber Tea Sandwiches, Delicious “Grey Stuff”, Gourmet Filled Cupcakes and finally, Creme Brûlée “en flambé.” Games and prizes will be part of the fun as well. Join us, you could very well be surprised to meet beautiful Belle, and jolly Mrs. Potts. We promise you an enchanting afternoon!
