Traditionally held at the Dr. John Bloomfield Home and Carriage House Museum the HCHS will offer the Annual Strawberry Festival at our Historic Complex located at the Henry County Fairgrounds in Napoleon, Ohio.

The event will feature a special rededication ceremony for the newly restored Nathaniel Hartman Log Home formerly known as the Log Cabin. A historic talk and tour provided by trustee Taylor Moyer will take place during the rededication ceremony.

Members of the 68th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Company I will be on site depicting the life of Nathaniel, George, Richard, and Daniel Hartman. All of whom served in the American Civil War with the Union Army.

Cooking demonstrations, crafting, children’s activities, will take place in the log home and are free to the public.

Historic gardens will be available for tours.

The 1897 One-room Schoolhouse will be open with special exhibits and collections from all around Henry County! Have a question? Just ask Jean Keller and she’ll help you find what your looking for. Tours of the schoolhouse, activities, and more will also be free for young and old!

Lunch will be provided during the lunch hour by the HCHS Strawberry Committee lunch is a FREE WILL DONATION. All proceeds benefit the HCHS and help us continue our mission to preserve, perpetuate, and educate on the history of Henry County, Ohio.
